This describes how CardCrate Trading ("we," "us") collects and uses your information when you use cardcrateshop.com. We're a small trading-card business based in Westfield, Indiana.
What we collect
When you place an order: your name, shipping and billing address, email, phone (optional), and payment information. Payment info is handled by our payment processor. We don't see or store your full card number.
When you sign up for the newsletter: your email address.
When you contact us: your name, email, and whatever you put in the message.
Automatically when you visit the site: your IP address, browser and device info, the pages you visit, and cookies that keep your cart working and help us understand site traffic.
How we use it
- Process and ship your orders
- Reply to your messages
- Send the Sunday Pull List newsletter (only if you subscribe)
- Improve the site and prevent fraud
- Comply with tax and legal requirements
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the business:
- Squarespace: hosts the site and processes payments
- USPS: delivers your orders
- Mailchimp: sends our newsletter (only if you subscribe)
Each of these has its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart working, understand how the site is used, and remember your preferences. You can control cookies in your browser settings, but disabling them may break checkout.
Your rights
You can:
- Ask what information we have about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Unsubscribe from emails (link at the bottom of every newsletter)
If you live in California, you also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We don't sell or share data, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right is yours either way.

Data retention
We keep order records for at least 7 years for tax purposes. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Other information is deleted when it's no longer needed.
Children
This site is not intended for children under 13. If we learn we've collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the update.
