These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of cardcrateshop.com ("Site") and any purchase you make from CardCrate Trading. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

Who we are

CardCrate Trading is a small trading-card business based in Westfield, Indiana. Reach us at support@cardcrateshop.com.

Using the site

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Site, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current information when you order or sign up
  • Not misuse the Site (no scraping, hacking, or fraudulent orders)
  • Not use the Site for any illegal purpose

Orders and payment

All prices are in US dollars. Prices are subject to change without notice, but the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.

Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept the offer when we charge your payment method and ship the order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including for pricing errors, suspected fraud, or out-of-stock items. If we cancel an order you've already paid for, we'll refund you in full.

By submitting payment information, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge you for the total order amount.

Shipping

We ship via USPS to addresses in the United States. We typically ship within 2 business days if your order is placed before 2pm Eastern. Shipping times depend on the carrier and are not guaranteed.

At checkout you can choose letter mail (cheaper, no tracking) or tracked shipping. If you choose letter mail, you accept the risk that the order may be delayed, lost, or damaged in transit. Tracked shipping includes USPS tracking and limited insurance.

Title and risk of loss pass to you when we hand the package to the carrier.

Card condition and descriptions

We describe card conditions using TCGplayer's Card Conditioning Standards. The grades we use:

Near Mint (NM)
A card with minimal handling or play wear. Allowed imperfections: slight edgewear, slight scuffing, slight indentation, minor scratches, slight printing defects. Not allowed: surface wear, grime, bends, faults, or damage.
Lightly Played (LP)
Shows signs of handling or play but no significant imperfections. Allowed: minor edgewear, minor scratches, minor scuffing, minor indentation, minor bends, slight surface wear, slight grime, minor printing defects. Not allowed: faults or damage.
Moderately Played (MP)
Shows significant play, use, or wear. Allowed: moderate edgewear, moderate scratches, moderate scuffing, moderate indentation, minor surface wear, minor bends, minor grime, minor faults, minor printing defects. Not allowed: damage.
Heavily Played (HP)
Shows significant wear and imperfections. Allowed: major edgewear, major scratches, major scuffing, moderate surface wear, moderate indentations, major grime, moderate bends, minor faults, moderate printing defects. Not allowed: damage.
Damaged (DMG)
Shows wear or imperfections beyond the standards above. Examples include foreign substances or non-manufacturer ink, significant shifting or miscuts, tears, punctures, splitting, folding, missing or illegible card information, missing or illegible authentication features, and moderate to major faults (including liquid exposure).

Conditioning is inherently subjective despite the use of these standards. Item-specific photos may be provided upon request. The full TCGplayer Card Conditioning Standards are publicly available through TCGplayer.

If a card you receive doesn't match the listed condition, contact us within 7 days and we'll make it right (refund, partial refund, or replacement).

Prohibited uses

You may not:

  • Submit fraudulent payment information
  • Use bots or automation to place orders or scrape the Site
  • Reverse-engineer or copy any part of the Site
  • Use the Site to violate any law or another person's rights

Intellectual property

The Site, our logo, and our product photos belong to CardCrate Trading. Trading card images and trademarks (Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, TCGplayer, and others) belong to their respective owners. You may not reproduce or redistribute Site content without permission.

Disclaimers

The Site and products are provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free. We do not guarantee that any specific card will be available or that pricing will be accurate at all times.

We disclaim all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to your use of the Site or any product you buy from us is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Indiana, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
